Self-aligning| Open design | 20 - 50 mmThe SKF linear ball bearing LBCF A is a ball bearing with an unique layout of the balls. Thanks to this design the LBCF A can withstand a very heavy load. The LBCT is an open bearing and therefore suitable for shafts with shaft support. The LBCF A is self-aligning up to +/- 0,5º. This tilting feature compensates for misalignment, which may be caused by inaccuracies in fitting or manufacturing, or by significant bending of an unsupported shaft. Like other bearings from the SKF series 3, the LBCF A is suitable for both open and closed bearing housings. These bearings are in the standard version already equipped with standard shield, making them more resistant to dust and dirt. In the table below you can see which bearing is suitable for you. The LBCF A is produced upon the guidelines as established in ISO 10285.
The SKF linear ball bearing LBCF A is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm. For each size there are four different versions available so you always get the appropriate bearing. Which SKF linear ball bearing LBCF A do I need:
If the bearing may come into contact with liquids it is advisable to take the stainless steel version. A stainless-steel bearing is more resistant and the liquids will therefore not harm the bearing. If the bearing does not come into contact with liquids the standard version will do (stainless steel bearings have the code /HV6).
And last, there is a choice to be made between a bearing -2LS with double lip seals or without seals. The advantage of a two-sided sealed bearing is that it is extra maintenance-friendly. This is because you don’t need to worry about the amount or type of grease to be used. It is also no longer necessary for you to provide the bearings with new grease. Also, the bearings are protected against dust, dirt and moisture. The downside is that these seals provide some friction. This means that about 30% of the power will be lost, it is important to take this into account (bearings with two seal have the code -2LS).
