SKF series 3 linear ball bearings, plain bearings and bearing units

The SKF series 3 linear ball bearings and plain bearings are manufactured according to ISO 10285, making them interchangeable on all ISO-compliant models. Bearings of this series are of a superior quality and therefore also more sophisticated than bearings from SKF series 1. Because of this, the bearings from this series can handle higher load ratings. All series 3 bearings come in different sizes, each available in various designs. This makes it possible to choose for stainless steel and / or bearings with seals. It is also possible for most of the bearings to order a self-aligning variant. This tilting feature compensates for misalignment, which may be caused by inaccuracies in fitting or manufacturing, or by significant bending of an unsupported shaft. The majority of the bearings in series 3 is standard pre-lubricated with SKF LGEP2. This allows you to perform no maintenance on a large part of the bearings because this lubrication has a longer durability than the bearings. This is especially the case when it concerns a sealed variant.

The SKF linear ball bearing LBCD D is very similar to the LBCR D. This bearing as well has, due to its design, a high carrying capacity making it suitable for heavy duty applications. The difference with respect to the LBCR D is that the SKF LBCD D is self aligning so that it adjusts itself in the case of incorrect alignment. Available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear ball bearing LBCD

LBCT

If shaft support is sed, it is necessary to use an open design bearing. The SKF linear ball bearing is a ball bearing with an open design that can be used for such shaft support. Despite the fact that because of the open design less rows of balls are placed in the bearing, this hardly results in a lower carrying capacity. The LBCT is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear ball bearing LBCT

LBHT

The SKF linear ball bearing LBHT is almost identical to the LBCT. However the LBHT features, despite its open design, as many raceway segments as a closed design bearing. The LBHT heavy duty bearing is available in sizes between 20 and 50 mm.

SKF linear ball bearing LBHT

LBCF

In addition to the LBHT, the SKF linear ball bearing LBCT is also almost identical to the LBCT as well. The self-aligning feature of the LBCT makes it very suitable for applications where some corrective capacity is desirable. The LBCT is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear ball bearing LBCF

LPAR

The SKF plain bearing LPAR is dimensionally identical to the LBC bearings. The plain bearing is suitable for high accelerations and / or speeds. This bearing cannot be provided with seals and is available in sizes between 5 and 80 mm.

SKF linear plain bearing LPAR

LPAT

The SKF linear plain bearing LPAT is designed for shafts provided with shaft support. This bearing is similar to the LPAR, but provided with an open side. The LPAT is available in sizes between 12 and 80 mm.

SKF linear plain bearing LPAT

LUCD D

The SKF linear bearing unit LUCD D consists of a light-weight, cast aluminium housing with a LBCD D self-aligning ball bearing. This self-aligning feature enables the entire bearing unit to maintain a correct lining. The LUCD D is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCD

LUCR D

The SKF linear bearing unit LUCR D is comparable with the LUCD D. The only difference between these two bearing units is that the LUCR D is provided with an non self-aligning LBCR D ball bearing. The LUCR D is available in sizes between 8 and 80 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCR

LUCR PA

It is also possible to provide the light-weight, cast aluminum housing of a SKF linear plain bearing LPAR. The LUCR PA is available in sizes between 8 and 80 mm. Because the 8 mm variant cannot provide itself with lubrication, this one is available in a special edition: the LUCR/LUCR PA.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCR PA

LUCE D

The SKF linear bearing unit LUCE is similar tot the LUCD.The LUCE also consists of a light0weight, cast aluminium housing provided with a LBCD D self-aligning ball bearing. Instead of a closed housing, the LUCE has an open housing with an adjustment screw. This unit is typically used for arrangements requiring zero clearance of preload.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCE D

LUCS D

The adjustable screw of the LUCS D allows the pre load to be changed as desired. The SKF linear bearing unit LUCS D is provided with a SKF LBCR D ball bearing. This bearing unit is available in sizes between 8 and 80 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCS D

LUCF

The SKF lineair bearing unit LUCF is designed for applications where the shaft must be supported either partially or along its entire length. Therefor the LUCF is provided with a SKF LBCF self-aligning ball bearing. The SKF LUCF is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCF

LUCT

The SKF linear bearing unit LUCT is also designed to be used in combination with shaft support. The aluminium housing is provided with a LBCT ball bearing and is available in sizes between 12 and 80 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCT

LUCT PA

It is also possible to provide the light-weight, cast aluminium housing with a SKF linear plain bearing LPAR. The LUCT PA is also suitable for shafts with shaft support and is available in sizes between 12 and 80 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCT PA

LUCT BH

If it is desirable, due to the application, that the bearing unit has a higher load rating the aluminum house can be provided with a LBHT heavy duty ball bearing. The LUCT BH has, despite its open design, the same number of raceway segments as the LUCD. The bearing unit is available in sizes between 20 and 50 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUCT BH

LUND D

The SKF linear bearing unit LUND D is a closed bearing unit including a LBCD D self-aligning ball bearing. In contrast to the LUC. versions the aluminium housing of the LUND comprises the entire bearing. This makes the risk of pollution of the bearing smaller and ensures that LUN. models can be mounted differently. The bearing unit is provided with pre-drilled holes on the bottom so that it can be secured to prevent movement. The LUND is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUND

LUNE D

The SKF linear bearing unit LUNE D is provided with an adjustable screw. Other than that the LUNE D is comparable with the LUND D (provided with a LBCD D self-aligning ball bearing) and is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear bearing unit LUNE
