SKF Shaft carriers and shaft blocks

The shafts which SKF manufactures can be mounted in two ways. It is possible to mount the shafts between two shaft support block, which are mounted at both ends. Also, it is possible to mount them by means of shaft support, these typically run the entire length of the shaft and therefore require the use of open linear bearing units. For heavily loaded linear bearing units and/or long track length, it is recommended to use shaft support to eliminate bending.

LSCS

The SKF linear shaft support blocks LSCS are made of cast aluminum and designed to grip the end of the shaft. These blocks are supplied with two holes drilled in the base for attachment. The LSCS comes in different sizes, making it suitable for shafts between 8 and 80 mm.

LSHS

The SKF linear shaft support blocks LSHS are made of extruded aluminium. It is possible to attach them by through bolts or by bolts, via threaded holes, directly to the support surface. The LSHS is specifically suited for bearings from SKF series 1. The LSHS is available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

SKF linear shaft block LSHS

LSNS

When you are looking for a shaft support block that is compatible with SKF series 3 bearings, you should use the SKF linear shaft support blocks LSNS. The LSNS is comparable with the LSHS as it is also made of extruded aluminium for a longer lifetime. Available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.

LEBS A

To match the duo and quadro SKF series 1 linear bearing units, LEBS A tandem shaft blocks are available. The SKF linear shaft support blocks LEBS A are designed to enable the linear bearing to move axially and where the shaft block is fixed. The LEBS A is available in sizes 12 and 50 mm.

LEAS A

The SKF linear shaft support LEAS A blocks is also designed to be fixed on the shaft and enables the linear bearing to move axially. The LEAS A is specifically designed for SKF series 3 bearings. Available in sizes between 8 and 50 mm.

LEAS B

The SKF linear shaft support blocks LEAS B enables axial movement of the shafts though a fixed linear bearing unit. The LEAS B can only be used in combination with SKF series 3 bearings and is available in sizes between 8 and 50 mm.

LRCB

For heavily loaded linear bearing units and/or long track lengths, it is recommended to use shaft support to eliminate shaft bending. The SKF linear shaft carrier LRCB comes standard with pre-drilled holes so that it can directly be mounted on various SKF shafts. The LRCB is available in sizes between 12 and 80 mm.

LRCC

To prevent bending from the shaft it is also possible to use the SKF linear shaft carrier LRCC. The only difference in comparison with the LRCB is that the LRCC is provided without holes. The LRCC is available in sizes between 12 and 80 mm.
