SKF hardened precision shaft LJM

The SKF hardened precision shaft LJM is a solid shaft of high-quality hardened steel (CF53). this shaft can therefor withstand high pressures without deformation. The LJM has a hardness between 60 and 64 HRC (Rockwell Hardness Scale). The maximum sufrace roughness is Ra 0,3 μm. The LJM is machined to h6 or h7 tolerances.

The SKF hardened precision shaft LJM is available in sizes between 6 and 80 mm. For each size there are a dozen different modifications possible, to make sure that you get the right shaft. It is possible to modify these shaft tailer-made, based on your technical drawings. If you are unsure which modification is the most suitable, the differences are indicated below. Which SKF hardened precision shaft LJM do I need?

SKF offers a dozen modification for the LJM precision shaft for each size. Therefore it is important to make a choice in the shaft size and diameter first. During this selection you should keep in mind the size and type of bearings you want to use. If you want to replace a defective or damaged shaft, we recommend you to look at the code indicated in the shaft and to order the same new shaft.
