SKF series 1 linear ball bearings, plain bearings and bearing units
The SKF series 1 linear ball bearings and plain bearings are manufactured according to ISO 10285, making them interchangeable on all ISO-compliant brands. The series 1 bearings are very compact and therefor somewhat limited in load ratings. As a result, bearings from series 1 are an economical solution for bearing applications. All bearings are available in different sizes and designs. These are to be found and explained on the individual product pages. The bearing units are only to be applied on shafts which are mounted at both ends, thus not with shaft support.

LBBR
The SKF LBBR linear ball bearing is a ball bearing that combines a plastic cage with hardened steel raceways to guide the ball sets. Thanks to this design, the LBBR offers a higher load rating and has a longer durability than comparable bearings. The LBBR is available in sizes between 8 and 50 mm. For each measure, there are four different designs possible that can increase product lifetime.
LPBR
The SKF linear plain bearing LPBR is, under normal circumstances, self-lubcricating and therefore require minimal maintenance. When compared with the LBBR, the LPBR has a lower frictional resistance. Because the bearing can handle a higher static load and is resistant to shocks, it has a longer durability. The LPBR is ideal for applications where high vibration and / or high accelerations and velocities are present. Available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.
LTBR
The SKF linear bearing unit LTBR is a tandem bearing unit. This implies that two bearings, in this case two linear ball bearings SKF LBBR, are mounted one behind the other in the bearing house. The bearings in the LTBR comes standard with a two-sided -2LS seal, which protects them better against dust and other debris. Available in sizes between 12 and 50 mm.
