We would be glad to help you choose the right product.
Our range consists of all three different hardened SKF linear precision shafts in many different lengths and modifications. Therefore we can deliver LJM, LJMR and LJMS shafts directly from our own stock. Thanks to our modification centre we are able to cut and modify the shaft as soon as we receive your order. Therefore we are able to deliver your tailor made shaft within 72 hours.
It is important to use the right shaft in your application. The main difference between the three different linear shaft types are listed below:
If you need advice on the type and implementation of the bearing (unit) that is most suitable for your problem, we would be glad to help. During working hours you can contact us on the following number +31 (0)85 – 0661258.
LJM
The SKF hardened precision shaft LJM is a solid shaft of high-quality hardened steel (CF53). this shaft can therefor withstand high pressures without deformation. The LJM has a hardness between 60 and 64 HRC (Rockwell Hardness Scale). The maximum sufrace roughness is Ra 0,3 μm. The LJM is available in sizes between 6 and 80 mm.
LJMR
Deviating tot the LJM, the SKF hardened precision shaft LJMR is available in sizes between 6 and 50 mm. The solid LJMR shaft is made of high-quality hardened stainless steel (X90CrMoV18). The hardness of the LJMR lies between 54 and 57 HRC (Rockwell Hardness Scale). This shaft as well has a maximum surface roughness of Ra 0,3 μm. The LJMR is ideal for applications where possible contact with a large number of products including steam, petroleum and alcohol may occur.
LJMS
The SKF hardened precision shaft LJMS is made of high-quality hardened stainless steel (X46Cr13). With this solid shaft, this results in a hardness between 52 and 55 HRC (Rockwell Hardness Scale). If the shaft may come into contact with fresh water, dilute acids and alkalis, fruit and vegetable juices, this is the shaft that you need. The SKF LJMS shaft comes in sizes between 6 and 50 mm. The maximum surface roughness of the LJMS is Ra 0,3 μm.
Shaft modifications
For all shafts a dozen modifications are possible so that you will receive the proper shaft. In addition, it is also possible to manufacture the shaft according to your specific needs and drawings. Below the nine modifications are explained, if you would like a tailer-made shaft please contact us on +31 (0)85 – 0661258
